I had a good meal on board carabian airways, formally known as BWIA, heathrow to trinidad and tobago, very plain and bland only bad point was when they tryed to give me a bread roll which after i pointed out my dietry needs and that it looked exactly like everyone elses that she realised the error and thanked me for educating her on coeliac desease as she had never heared of it, excel airways also dose gf meals which looked good but mine didn't turn up must check with the airline direct and get someform of conformation. otherwise i take a lot of fruit, pringles, gf jaffa cakes, snack bars, rasins especially on short haul flights but at all cost check with airline direct, reconferm at check in and with cabin crew

Hi,
I'm flying XL soon, so might see about their gf meals, but the Jaffa cakes are a good idea - I love them and not very fattening. Which brand do you prefer?

In augest myself and my family went abroad travelling with easyJet. After confirming that we wanted a coeliac's meal they brought me back plain and bland food that i didn't even touch . Then on the way home in the early hours of the morning, all passengers got a breakfast which was cereal. I was handed what was supposidly a gluten free cereal and to my suprize the ingrediants contained wheat flour and barley . Thank god for my packed lunch! I would advice any coeliac suffers to take backups just in case.

Also the staff were wonderful as on my return journey as it happens therewas no gluten free meal. But the fight attendent brought me a veghy meal wich he made sure was gluten free Hats off to them all javascript:add("%20:D")

My experiences range from being given veggie (full of wheat flour) and on a lengthy flight being given fruit as a main meal with fruit juice as a starter and then in the morning fruit and fruit juice....I now take my own, usually some GF crackers with cheese and grapes etc. I would never chance it again.
